Below is a list of resources I recommend. I created this list mostly for myself, but it may be useful to you. There is a lot written about these topics, but these articles are the ones that really stand out.

Search Engine Optimisation

• Beginner’s Guide to SEO - Single Page Version - The ultimate beginner’s guide to SEO from SEOmoz. A single page, but 32 pages if you print it!
• Basics of search engine optimisation - A good overview of the basics, if you don’t have the patience for previous article.
• Search Engine Optimization for Blogs - SEO - Another good overview of the basics, from ProBlogger. This has more of an emphasis on blogs.

Note: The last two are from 2005, but are still worthwhile. Bear in mind that all of these were written before Google started penalising people for paid links.

Web Development And Design

• Resources for Web Developers - a huge list of resources. I haven’t had time to go through them all yet, although there are a few I know already.
• Eye Tracking Study - A good rundown on where people look when they visit a site. Keep this in mind when designing a website.
