More Than Scratch The Surface Receives Award
October 30th, 2007 by Stephen Cronin (881 views)When I first started blogging, I wouldn’t have written a post about receiving an award from another blog. Back then, my plan was just to write original content. I saw memes, linkfests and awards as a distraction from that.
I still am a little biased against awards, but I’ve softened my stance now that I’ve won one! 
I recently picked up the High Flying Eagle Award from Eaglehawk for the IFrameWidgets plugin helping improve the way his site loaded. Thank you Eaglehawk!
I probably won’t post awards in future, at least not in a separate post, but this one is a little special because it was given in appreciation for the IFrameWidgets plugin.
While I was writing this post, I realised that I was presented with another award a couple of months ago, by K-IntheHouse, but didn’t realise it at the time. Sorry K!! A belated thanks for the I Love Your Blog Award. I love your blog too.
Now, I’m very conscious that my recent posts haven’t had much original content, but stick with me, I’ll be back on track soon.

K, Thanks again! The book marking options are through the Antisocial plugin (Andy Beard’s hacked version of the Sociable plugin). The feed options are through the upcoming version of my own DualFeeds plugin, which is just waiting for that documentation to be finished. You’re welcome to mimic it though! I’m not the first person to do it.

Wow, thanks Stephen! I am using the Sociable plugin and I have to definitely get the Antisocial plugin.
I have installed your iFrame plugin and I love it and haven’t seen any issues with it. In fact, I am running the BlogRush widget as well.. with v2 out I am waiting to see if there is any use for it before pulling the plug.
DualFeeds plugin is still on my list to add to my blog. Keep up the great work, Stephen!

Thanks for the feedback on the IFrameWidgets plugin. I may follow up in an email to you in the next week or two as a final check. I’m probably going to ‘launch’ it (ie submit it to the plugin directories) about then, if there’s no major problems with it. Thanks for trying it!
