My Site Reviewed On Untwisted Vortex

August 23rd, 2007 by Stephen Cronin (1,033 views)

A couple of days ago, my site was reviewed by RT Cunningham on Untwisted Vortex. I was happy with the review, but this post isn’t about the review - it is about the service provided by Untwisted Vortex.

RT didn’t review my site because he thought it was a great site. He didn’t review it because I paid him. He reviewed it simply because I asked him to on his Comment For A Review post. This is a great service which many have taken up.

Untwisted Vortex is all about helping other bloggers make the most of their blogs. I have to say it has really helped me - there is a ton of good advice there. Services such as free blog reviews are the icing on the cake.

In my 3 short months in the blogging game, I can honestly say I have met a lot of nice people. RT stands out in particular, because not only is he helpful, he always makes very good sense. It’s a rare case when I disagree with something he says.

I have my own ideas about how to do things, so I can’t promise I’ll always follow his advice, but I can promise I will always listen to it.

Now this might read like a Sponsored Post, but I can assure you it’s not - it’s just my honest opinion about JT and Untwisted Vortex. If, for some reason, you haven’t checked out his site - get over there.

Do you know of any other sites which are exceptionally helpful? If so, let me know in a comment below.

  1. Your review is done… take a look. :)

  2. Thanks Hari, I had a look and I’ll leave a comment there.

For everyone else, Hari is talking about a second review of my site on Untwisted Vortex, this time by guest reviewer Hari, rather than RT.

  3. Stephen, you made me blush when I read this. I think what you’re appreciating is the fact that there are actually people out here on the net who do things just because they should be done and not for what we can get in return.

Altruism really is a rare commodity and I hope other people follow suit. I’ve stumbled across very few so far.

  4. Hi RT. What you’re saying is correct. Most people I meet are very helpful and I don’t want to detract from their efforts, but there are not many altruists around - so praise handed out where it’s deserved.

  5. RT is indeed heck of a guy! Nice blog you have here, and now I’m off to check out DualFeeds!

  6. Hi Jay. Agreed. The reason you visited my blog, was because I visited yours. The reason I visited yours? Well an interesting title in the Bumpzee feed helped, but the clincher was that I’d seen your site reviewed by RT ages ago and noted it as a worthwhile site as a result. He’s bringing bloggers together!

  7. Just like your blog I have never heard of UV’s site, and to tell you the truth I’m quite impressed with what he’s got going on over there.

I wasn’t following any of the blogs at the time of the writing of both your review and his, bus mostly I believe it was linkbait from both his side and yours :P

    Glad it helped you ;P
